There will be a reception honoring Ellen Hawkins as she retires from her position as music secretary tomorrow, Sunday, October 7, from 3:00-4:30 pm.
Church Picnic!! This Sunday, September 30, at the Columbia Water Park. Church will provide chicken and drinks, we ask all of you to bring a side dish and/or dessert. Also, bring your lawn chair!! We'll have jumpers for the children and plenty of other activities going on. In case of rain, we will gather at the church.
It is our prayer that everyone stays safe with the approaching storm. At this point, we will be monitoring the storm as it comes through and see what kind of conditions exist in the area tomorrow before we make any decisions concerning Wednesday evening meal and services.
We were all shocked and saddened at the passing of former Music Minister Bernie Parker. So many people have fond memories and funny stories to tell about him. We are lifting his family up in our thoughts and prayers. Visitation will be held tonight (Wednesday, August 22) from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia. Visitation will also be held from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Thursday morning at First Baptist Church of Columbia with the service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
